Russia promised Wednesday an "answer" if the United Kingdom send fighter jets to Ukraine and warned of an escalation in the conflict.

"Russia will find a response to any hostile measures taken by the British side"the Moscow embassy in London said in a statement carried by Russian news agencies.
The Russian embassy stated that London will take responsibility for a “bloody harvest” as well as the consequences "political and military derived" for the European continent and the world.
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky visited London on Wednesday, where he urged allies to send fighter jets to his war-torn country.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said "nothing is off the table" in terms of military aid for Ukraine.
