Volkswagen Tiguan will get electric model, production of this SUV will start soon

German automaker Volkswagen is planning to launch its Tiguan SUV available in the Indian market in a new electric variant.

The company is currently working on this vehicle and it can be launched in 2025.

The company is planning to completely electrify itself by 2033 and for this reason is going to launch its vehicles with electric kit.

In terms of design, the new Volkswagen Tiguan Electric gets an aggressive look with new front bumper, faux slate chrome grille, wide air dam, sculpted bonnet and matrix LED headlights.

Roof rails, blacked-out arrow cut design, body cladding and 18-inch alloy wheels have been given on the sides of the car. At the rear, the roof-mounted spoiler, split LED taillamps, and "Tiguan EV" branding add to the aggressive look of the rear section.

The Volkswagen Tiguan Electric Car has a panoramic sunroof, flat-bottom steering wheel, ambient lighting, three-zone climate control and a 5-seater cabin with gesture controls.

It can also get an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Keeping in mind the safety of the passengers, it will also get features like a rear-view camera, six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and hill start assist.

According to the information, the single motor variant in Tiguan Electric can get a 57kWh battery pack, which will be capable of giving a range of 400 kilometers per charge.

Second, it can also get a dual motor AWD system, which is capable of giving a range of 480 km.

Its single electric motor makes 201bhp power and 310Nm torque and the dual motor version generates 295bhp power.

Price and availability of the Tiguan Electric will be revealed at the time of its launch. According to the reports, it can be launched around Rs 20 lakh.
