Weather update: Even now the month of February is not over that people have started feeling the heat in many areas of the country. Due to strong sunlight during the day, people have started feeling the heat.

In many areas of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, the heat has already started troubling people. In many areas here, the temperature remains between 35 and 39 degrees. According to the MID, the minimum temperature in these areas is expected to be four to five degrees above normal in the next four to five days. If the mercury of temperature continues to rise like this, then this year there may be record breaking heat.
For the last few days, a steady increase in the minimum and maximum temperature is also being recorded in Delhi-NCR. The situation is that even during the day people here have started feeling the heat well. However, a slight drop in temperature is being recorded at night. Even today, the minimum temperature is expected to be around 15 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is likely to be around 32 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature here on Tuesday was 16.1 degrees Celsius, which is five degrees Celsius above normal. Monday February 20 was recorded as the third hottest February in Delhi since 1969. According to a figure, after last 17 years Delhi is witnessing so much heat in February.
However, even today there are chances of light snowfall and rain in many parts of Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. According to the Meteorological Department, today and tomorrow, there may be thunder and heavy rain in many areas of the North East states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur.
According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, the day temperature may drop by 2 to 3 degrees in Rajasthan and Gujarat. However, day and night temperatures are expected to be above normal in many parts of central India.
Whereas Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh may receive light snowfall and rain at some places. With this, there is a possibility of light rain in Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim.
