South Korea has announced that it will launch its 6G network by 2028.
The Korean Ministry of Science and ICT has announced that South Korea will launch its 6G network by using world-class technology, advanced software-based next-generation mobile network and strengthening network supply.
For this, the South Korean government will encourage local companies to make materials, parts and equipment for the development of its 6G network.
Government will spend so much
A study researching the core 6G technology is already underway in South Korea.
The project will cost 62,500 crore won (about Rs 4,000 crore).
With this project, South Korea aims to beat the world with 6G technology.
South Korea is the fourth largest economy in Asia and is responsible for up to 25.9 percent of 5G patents in 2022. The government wants to increase this figure to 30 percent or more in 6G patents.
