McKinsey will lay off 2,000 of its employees, these people will be most affected

Management consultancy company McKinsey & Company is planning to lay off a large number of employees.
Bloomberg According to, McKinsey & Company may lay off 2,000 of its employees.
Job cuts at Mikinsey are expected to affect employees who do not have direct contact with customers.
In the coming days, the number of employees affected by retrenchment may increase and the company may also give relief package to these employees.
Increase in the number of employees of the firm in recent years
The number of McKinsey & Company employees has grown substantially over the past decade.
The firm employed around 17,000 employees in 2012, which increased to around 28,000 in 2017.
Presently the company employs around 45,000 employees. There is a huge increase of 17,000 in the workforce as compared to 5 years back.
Now the company is preparing to reconstitute itself.
