Indian women's cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur has broken Mithali Raj's record in captaincy.

Harmanpreet has become the Indian cricketer to captain the most number of matches in the Women's T20 World Cup.

Harmanpreet is playing her 14th match as captain in this tournament against Ireland. Earlier this record was recorded in the name of Mithali Raj (13).

Overall, Harmanpreet is captaining India in the 95th T20 International.

Harmanpreet is the cricketer who has captained the second most number of matches.

Harmanpreet is the second most captained cricketer in T20 Internationals. The record of captaincy in most matches is in the name of Meg Lanning (99 *).

Apart from this, Harmanpreet is playing the 150th match of her career and has become the first cricketer to do so by combining men's and women's cricket. After Harmanpreet, the cricketer who played the most matches is Rohit Sharma (148 *).

Harmanpreet is close to completing 3,000 runs in this format.
