Google fired 453 employees in India Google fired 453 employees in India, information given through email

New Delhi. The round of layoffs is going on all over the world and in this episode, Google has once again laid off the company on a large scale and this has been done from Indian units. Google India has fired 453 employees. According to the information, the employees have been informed about their removal from the job through email.

Sanjay Gupta, country head and vice president of Google India, has mailed the employees fired from the company informing them about their termination. It is being told that Google has sacked 453 of its employees in India. The process of evacuating these 453 Indian employees has been done on Thursday night.

An email sent with queries seeking comment from Google India did not elicit any response. The consent of CEO Sundar Pichai has also been mentioned in this mail. At present, it is not clear whether this retrenchment of 453 people from Indian units is a part of the previously announced retrenchment of 12,000 personnel or more retrenchments will be done separately in the coming days.

For information, let us tell you that last month Google-owned Alphabet Inc had announced the removal of 12,000 employees, which is 6 percent of the company's entire headcount. Sundar Pichai also mailed the employees saying that he "takes full responsibility for those decisions.
