Chile is fighting for the fifth consecutive day against the wave of forest fires that are shaking the center of the country, the most tragic and devastating in decades, a fight for which it has requested international help.
The hundreds of active fires have left at least 26 dead, more than 1,500 homes destroyed and 270,000 hectares burned.
