FCI officials raided more than 30 locations

CBI Searches In Punjab: The Central Investigation Agency (CBI) has raided over 30 locations linked to FCI officials in Punjab in connection with a bribery case.

According to information, the CBI on Tuesday raided the premises of officials of the Food Corporation of India (FCI). According to media reports, raids have been conducted at more than 30 places in the state including Rajpura, Patiala, Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib, Mohali, Sonam, Moga, Ferozepur, Ludhiana, Sangrur.

Raid on the bases of private rice mill owners and grain traders

A CBI source said, "CBI is conducting searches at more than 30 locations at the premises of FCI officials, private rice mill owners and grain traders in connection with the payment of huge bribe."

He said that private traders are being favored in adjusting the procurement of low quality food grains to meet the shortage.
