The urban sectors of the teaching staff in bolivian marched this Wednesday in several cities of the country against the new study plan that the government of the president Luis Arce intends to implement in this management and that was described as a form of "ideologize” to children and adolescents.
The mobilizations were carried out in several of the main cities of the country such as Santa Cruzthe largest Bolivian region, Peaceseat of Government and Parliament, Cochabamba, Oruro and Sucrethe constitutional capital of the country, along with some parent organizations that have criticized the content and conditions of its application.

In the protests, several of the banners questioned the work of the Minister of Education, Edgar Parydue to the process in which he assured himself “agreed” with different sectors, and qualifiers to the new study plan of “pachamamista”, in relation to the indigenous orientation that characterizes the Government.
Speaking to EFE, the leader Jose Luis Alvarez He mentioned that the new plan threatens the "Quality of education”because subjects such as English, native language or robotics do not have a time load or their own budget.

"Ideologization" of education

“We do not want the State to interfere in the privacy of Bolivian families”, “We are not against anyone, but (in opposition) to ideologize our children”, he told EFE.
For his part, Plata mentioned that there has been evidence of a "instrumentalized ideological management” when in primary textbooks it is explained that there was a “coup” in 2019 and not a “balanced version” that also speaks of a “popular uprisingagainst the then president Evo Morales.
The teacher also criticized that it is taken as "transversal subjects"all those questions"that the government cannot solve”, such as gender violence, and this is done by the educational system.

Among the changes introduced by the Ministry of Education There are new themes such as origami, depatriarchalization in the family, healthy eating, harvesting techniques, self-control and social justice, at the primary level.
While in secondary some of the new subjects are comprehensive human sexuality, sexual and reproductive health, sexual and reproductive rights, feminisms, in addition to the continuity of content on foreign and native languages or aspects related to technology.

The Government indicated that the modification is part of a process that began in an educational meeting in December 2020 and that some 57 institutions have worked on.
On this day the Ministry of Education and the state Agency for Electronic Government and Information and Communication Technologies (Agetic) presented an instruction program for teachers in robotics oriented to the application of the new educational plan.
The new educational design has also been questioned by the Catholic Church and evangelical groups.
