'Avatar 2' beats 'Titanic' to become world's third highest-grossing film

James Cameron's 'Avatar: The Way of Water', which released on December 16 last year, has dominated the box office since its inception and has already broken the records of many Hollywood films in terms of earnings.

Now the film has left behind the film 'Titanic' released in the year 1997 in terms of earnings.

In fact, 'Avatar 2' has become the world's third highest-grossing film, surpassing 'Titanic'.

The list of top-grossing films includes 'Avatar' ($292.3 million), 'Avengers: Endgame' ($279.9 million), 'Avatar 2' ($224.4 million), 'Titanic' ($224.3 million) and 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($207.1 million).

Earlier, 'Avatar: The Way of Water' (Rs 378 crore) has registered the record of the highest grossing Hollywood film in India. Till now this record was in the name of the 2019 film 'Avengers: Endgame' (Rs 367 crore).
