Akshay Kumar became 'Selfie King', broke Guinness World Record

Akshay Kumar is currently busy promoting his film 'Selfie'.

Meanwhile, Akshay has become the 'Selfie King'. In fact, the actor broke the Guinness World Record for taking the maximum number of selfies in 3 minutes at an event in Mumbai.

Now Akshay is the Guinness World Record holder for this special feat with 184 selfies.

He has broken the world record of 168 'self-portrait photographs' taken in 3 minutes by James Smith.

Earlier in 2015, Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson made this record with 105 selfies in 3 minutes at the premiere of San Andreas in London.

Expressing his excitement, Akshay said, "I am excited to break this unique world record and share this moment with my fans! Whatever I have achieved so far is because of the unconditional love and support of my fans. Because of the support."

Akshay's film 'Selfie' is all set to hit the theaters on February 24.

Apart from Akshay, actors like Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrat Bharucha are in lead roles in the film.

Akshay and Imran will be seen together on the big screen for the first time in this film being directed by Raj Mehta.

'Selfie' is the official remake of the 2019 Malayalam blockbuster 'Driving License' starring Prithviraj Sukumar and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
