State Minister Nasrul Hamid Bipu also said that Bangladesh will get electricity from the second unit of Adani Group's electricity in April. He also mentioned that 750 MW will come from the first unit in March. Another 750 MW will come from the second unit in April. As a result, the power crisis in the country will reduce in summer, the minister also said. In his words, "There is nothing to worry about the electricity supply in the coming summer season." The State Minister of Bangladesh also said that there is no basis for the talk about Adani Group's electricity.
Minister Nasrul Hamid Bipu also said that in addition to Adani Group's electricity, several coal-based power plants in Bangladesh are coming into production. "Rampal has come, SS Power will come, Barisal power plant will come," he said. The minister also said that the government has taken steps to deal with the power crisis this summer and said, "I have taken the initiative to keep the power supply normal. There is nothing to panic about irrigation in summer season. Import of LNG from sport market has started. Gas supply will also increase. There is also a plan to import 8 cargoes of LNG from the market.”
Incidentally, Bangladesh is going to buy 1,600 MW of electricity from India's Adani Group. Import of 750 MW electricity can start from March to Bangladesh. The rest of the electricity will gradually come to the national grid of Bangladesh. Several years ago, PDB signed an agreement with India's famous Adani group through the mediation of Bangladesh and India governments.
