England fast bowler James Anderson has become the new No. 1 bowler in Test cricket. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released new rankings on Wednesday.
He has replaced Pat Cummins, whose performance against India has not been anything special.
Ravichandran Ashwin has also gained a place and has reached the second position. The 40-year-old Anderson has 866 rating points.
Anderson recently made a world record
Veteran fast bowler Anderson created history in the first Test match of the ongoing Test series against the New Zealand cricket team. He became the first bowler to take international wickets in 21 different calendar years.
He made his ODI debut against Australia cricket team in December 2002 and since then he has played international matches and taken wickets every year.
Ashwin is also doing brilliantly against Australia.
