Now, why did it go from $0.99 last year to a $1.99 this year? That's probably because this plan saw a price increase this year. It is now 7.99$ a month at the regular price. This deal for Hulu Basic with ads is available to new and eligible returning subscribers. And that means that you have not had Hulu in the past month. And this is important too. If you sign up for a $1.99 a month and then sometime down the road decide to change your plan, well then you're going to give up this discount. It's a busy day for deals.
